| Improving Access to Information Resources Улучшение доступа к информационным ресурсам | The computer network of the Center includes two servers (the basic and reserve) and 10 workstations. Access to Internet provides Proxy Server with a common dial-up access to the Internet in a Local Network of the Center. Medical students and lecturers of I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy are able to work with electronic databases such as Medline, Cochrane Library. Also EPC Center provides Internet-sessions according to timetable to medical students (10 hours per week). EPC staff provide different type of lecturers to students (eg. How to use Medical Internet). The Center provides Internet - access both of users of the Center, and three Moscow polyclinics where the resources - centers for GP’s were generated. |
| Promotion of EBP Внедрение научно обоснованной практики | EPC Center developed an Evidence-based Report on "Screening of Arterial Hypertension on the primary health care level". Also EPC started to develop clinical guidelines for general practitioners. |

The acute appendicitis 14. The Manual on infectious diseases 15. Secrets of gastroenterology 16. Secrets of rheumatology 17. The Directory of the general practitioner 18. Harrisson’s manual of internal diseases 19. The manual of surgery 20. Surgery in questions and answers 21. Surgical processing of wounds 22. Chronic venous insufficiency 23. Encyclopedia: our health Also Procite database on arterial hypertension articles from Russian medical journals (1990-2000) is developed for local network for EPC activity. |
