Mission statement of the Distance Learning group

The mission of the Distance Learning group is:
"To promote in the region the use of modern infomation technologies in order to
improve the access to "life-long learning".
This group has established the following objectives in order to achieve the mission:
• to enable its members to share experiences in developing Distance Learning Programmes
• to support the human resources development in the region
• to offer consultancy in implementing Distance Learning Programmes
• to discuss accreditation criteria for such educational programs
• to apply for funds for the possible development of a Regional Distance Learning Programme on various topics of interest
