| Promotion of EBP Внедрение научно обоснованной практики | Since 2001 IPME has been offering 2 types of EBM training courses taught by extramural facilitator,mostly affiliated with medical faculties including Palacky University in Olomouc. Introductory sessions for beginners focused on EBM principles and development Cochrane Library and hierarchy of evidence.Advanced workshops for trainees and trainers comprising interactive database searches followed by critical appraisal of retrieved documents.In 2003 a Steering Committee was established to motivate educators to introduce EBM concepts into postgraduate specialist training providing by IPME.The Committee consits of the Deputy Director for pedagogy,education methodology departement staff, medical teachers and medical librarian.Medical librarians are responsible for transfer of the rapidly developing methods to access and critically appraise biomedical information. |

| Grants and Sustainability Гранты и самофинансирование | - MEDVIK (Medical Virtual Library) - • national network of the information resources for science and research for health and medical care • focused on developing Medvik software as a tool for sharing information resources and extending the scope and quality provided services • 2000-2003 • financial grant from a program of the Czech Ministry of Education Participants: National Medical Library, Institute for Postgraduate Medical Education, Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine, Institute for Hematology and Blood Transfusion - MedGate - The Information Gate for Research and Development in Medicine - an instrument of integration and effective of information resources. - the main object of the project is to build and develop a subject information gateway for research and dvelopment in medicine, facilitating users' access to existing bibliographic, fulltext and other resources and related services through one interface. - another important part is coordination and optimalization of resources acquisition, regarding gradual transition from print to electronic journals.
