| Improving Access to Information Resources Улучшение доступа к информационным ресурсам | The presence of the LRC at our institutaion has been a great help for our health professionals. We have been able to retrieve the most updated medical information on the Internet. We also have worked hard to translate some useful resources based on the information request we have had and are having everyday at our LRC .We receive info-requests from Town Health Center staff, District hospital staff and Maternity Hospital staff. We have been able to resolve most part of these information requests. In cases we were not able to resolve these info-requests we have consulted our colleagues in Albania and abroad as well. We are using also the CD-ROMS and text books provided from AIHA for our LRC in order to meet all the demands of our staff. We also have realized different subscriptions to mailing lists from which we received dhe most updated information from health professionals and their practice. For the moment we have only two computers at our LRC.We are using these computers to train health professionals on how to use computers , Internet , Email, different computer programs like , Word, Excel, Power Point ,Microsoft access. We are training our staff on using Medline, Cochrane library, and how to browse the World Wide Web in order to find the most helpful and updated medical information. |
| Promotion of EBP Внедрение научно обоснованной практики | Since one year ago we have set uped an working group of Evidence Based Practise. This working group or committee is formed of ten physician who are aslo part of LRC staff.The tsakis of this working group are to review , formaulate and help in the immplementation of the Evidence Based Medicine in the healt institutions of Lezha district.The working group is divided into two groups of five people .This first group is part of Lezha maternity-part of Lezha distict hospital and the aim of this group is to consult the activities to review standards and oversee immplementation of these standards at the secondar healthcare level.The second group work with similar activities to those of the first group but in the Primary Healthcare Level.In 2003 these two groups have reviewed the standards for the treatment of anemia during pregnancy. The reviwers concluded that the early detection of anemia during pregnancy is the most important step of in its treatment becouse of improved outcomes and cost effectiveness. The two groups also provided guidance on the therapy options for mild and severe anemia during pregnacy.The group also developed instructionla materials to share to other professionals in order to immplement this new standard to improve diagnostic and treatment procedures for anemia. The second group of Primary healthcare directory of Lezha district has worked during 2004 to review and immplement a new standard in primary health care setting about follow -up oif chidren up to one year in primary care level. The review of the standard lasted for about 6 months and the group concluded that the improvement of house settings , the augmenation of health visits at home and health centers in order to better know the health problems of the children related to their family, house, and environment will improve the quality of life of this age and reduce the number of hospitalisations for these childre up to one year. |

examples Научно обоснованная практика - другие примеры | The only source of training about EBM at our institution is LRC where some health professionlas part of LRC staff have received some modest training about EBM but there is a high demand from health professionls in Lezha to deal with EBM and LRC by itself can not resolve the problem because we need more staff training about EBM, books , CD-ROMS , more computers and a stable and higher speed Internet connection. |
| Grants and Sustainability Гранты и самофинансирование | We are preparing a fund proposal for our LRC with the aim to further develop the project we are not sure what will happen to our LRC after September 2004.We need money for Intenret connection, Email account, we need also more computers at our LRC , we need more textboopks for our LRC Library , CD-ROMS for our electronic library and I am sure that our Institution will not be able to afford all these expenses so it would be great if we can find any grant organisation to help us with the LRC project in the future beceuse we need the presence of the LRC at our institution as the only source of reliable medical information at our district. |
| Databases and Information Systems Базы данных и информационные системы | We have not been able to develop these systems at our institution because we have no financial and staff capabilities for these project but we hope that in the future with the further development of our LRC will be able to work in such programs and develop them for our institution. |

Developments Другие родственные виды деятельности | We use the LRC resources, Internet and Email connection for telemedicine consultations and we have had some difficult cases resolved using the power of telemedicine at our LRC by consulting our colleagues in Albania and abroad.As regard to medical informatics applications we have not developed these kind of resources but we will be able to develop some local informatics initiatives by the end of this year with the help of LRC and LRC staff. By Using Internet and Email connection we have been able to collect lots of medical materials from different medical websites and we have translated some of these materials into the Albanian language and share copies of these translations to the Town Health Center staff and other health professionals of Lezha district. We also have prepared some brochures with medical information at our LRC.These brochures contain information about Injection techniques, Anemia during pregnancy, Hypertension, Unexplained Infertility ecc. |

| Your expectations Что хотели бы получить от участия в сети LRC | I think that other LRC Network Activities to be considered are the development of strategies in relation with different specialties of practice of Medicine.Fo example LRC network may be able to help on the creation of specialist working groups within the LRC staff and prepare and review new standards in different specialties, for example the working group of primary care LRC specialists, secondary care LRC specialists, public health LRC specialist, hospital LRC specialists and so on. |
| Travel support possibility by institution Возможность поддержки учреждением поездки на конференцию LRC | I am not sure that my institution will be able to pay for costs of travel and lodging for future workshops or conferences because our institution is a public one and the total year budget is limited. |
